"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Leo F. Buscaglia

Touch is essential to our health. Humans need to touch and need to be touched, just like we need food and water. Touching can reassure us, relax us and comfort us like nothing else. The importance of touch is so basic that, all too frequently, we tend to take it for granted, just as we do breathing.

One of the best ways to fill this essential need for touch is through massage and bodywork. There are many physical, as well as emotional benefits of massage. Massage satisfies our need for caring, nurturing touch; it fosters a feeling of well-being, and reduces levels of anxiety. In addition, massage promotes a relaxed state of mental alertness and increases our mind-body awareness. Physically, massage helps to relieve stress and aids in relaxation, helps relieve muscle tension and soreness and provides greater joint flexibility and range of motion. Other physical benefits include improved circulation, strengthening the immune system, relief from tension-related headaches and a reduction in blood pressure.

Such a simple thing, touch. But the connection between touch and well-being is far more than skin deep, it's essential.

Our modalities

Swedish ~ Probably the most well-known type of massage, Swedish massage uses smooth gliding strokes to relax the body and mind.

Therapeutic Massage ~ This type of massage employs a variety of techniques to relieve your aches and pains. Therapeutic massage is tailored to meet your needs, we listen to you and your body.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage ~ This type of massage not only relieves the tension and aches caused by the extra weight gain and shift in the center of gravity, it also helps to reduce swelling, soothes the nervous system, reduces fatigue and enhances energy.

Hot Stone Therapy ~ Heated stones are used to enhance a nurturing head-to-toe deep tissue massage. As the stones glide over your muscles, tension melts away.

Barefoot Bliss ~ A wonderfully therapeutic treatment where natural stones become an extension of the therapists hands delivering relief to tired legs & feet. This treatment begins with a soothing foot soak to soften and relieve stress, followed by an exfoliating scrub. Smooth warm stones are then massaged into feet & calves eliminating tension in an experience like no other! Ending with a silky moisterizer, feet are ready to walk out into the world again.

Infant Massage ~ Taught to new parents, newborn massage is designed to enhance the bonding between parent and baby. Infant massage can also help strengthen and regulate a baby's respiratory, circulatory and gastrointestinal functions, often relieving gas and colic.

Seated Chair Massage ~ On-site seated chair massage is a relatively short massage, usually lasting 10-15 minutes. It takes place fully clothed and usually covers the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands. It leaves you feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to return to work.
