Your visit, answered.

Everything you need to know before you book, what to expect when you arrive, and how we handle the practical stuff. If your question isn't here, call us at 717-335-2338 or email help@circleoflifewellness.com, we're always happy to help.

GENERAL

The practical stuff

  • Change the text and add your own content, including any information that is relevant to share.

We work by appointment only. Booking ahead means we've got the right therapist and room ready when you show up. Book online anytime, or call us during business hours at 717-335-2338.

  • This is a paragraph where you can include any information you’d like. It’s an opportunity to tell a story about the company.

Get here a few minutes early to check in, use the restroom, and settle in. First visit, or first time booking a particular service? Come a little earlier than that in case you still need to finish your intake forms.

  • Describe a feature you’d like to share about this company or highlight a particular service it offers.

Yes. Before your first appointment, and any time you book a new service, we'll send you an intake form by email or text to fill out ahead of time. There's a general form for all new clients, plus service-specific ones for massage, lymphatic drainage, Ashiatsu, pregnancy massage, float therapy, and infrared sauna. Filling these out beforehand saves time and helps your therapist prep for your session. Didn't get to it? Forms are also available in the office, just come a few minutes early so you have time to fill them out.

  • Call us, not email, the moment you know you'll be late. We'll do what we can, but your session will still end at its originally scheduled time out of respect for the next client, so arriving late usually means a shorter session. Full fees still apply even if the session gets cut short. Fair's fair though: if we're ever running behind, we'll add time to your session or adjust the charge.

  • Call us, not email, as soon as you know you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancel within 24 hours and you may be charged 50% of the service fee. No-shows are charged in full. All fees need to be settled before your next appointment. We get that emergencies happen: if you have a fever, a known infection, or you've thrown up or had diarrhea in the last 24 hours, please just cancel, your health and everyone else's comes first. Late cancellations for illness, emergencies, or bad weather are handled case by case and usually won't cost you anything.

  • Yes, from young kids to seniors, and every session gets tailored to that person. Clients under 18 are welcome, but a parent or guardian needs to be present and stay in the room the whole time. Just let us know when booking that it's for a minor so we can plan accordingly.

  • Cash, personal checks, all major credit cards, debit cards, and HSA cards.

  • Yes, a 3% charge on credit cards. Debit cards are exempt.

  • No, all services are non-refundable, and payment is due at the time of service.

  • However you'd like. Cash, check, or Venmo are all easy, and we can run gratuities on a card too, though cash, check, or Venmo are preferred since your therapist keeps the whole amount without a processing fee eating into it.

  • Yes. Buy one online and we'll email it straight to the recipient, or you can print it at home. We've also got physical paper certificates available in the center.

MASSAGE & BODYWORK

What to expect on the table.

  • Change the text and add your own content, including any information that is relevant to share.

Your therapist will go over your intake form with you and ask about any problem areas, pressure preferences, and what you're hoping to get out of the session. You'll always be modestly draped, only the area being worked on is uncovered. If anything doesn't feel right, pressure, temperature, positioning, just say so. Your therapist will adjust.

  • This is a paragraph where you can include any information you’d like. It’s an opportunity to tell a story about the company.

Not sure where to start? We'll help you figure it out. Browse everything on our Massage & Bodywork page, or just give us a call and we'll point you toward the right fit based on what you're after.

  • Describe a feature you’d like to share about this company or highlight a particular service it offers.

Not necessarily. Plenty of clients stick with one therapist because it's nice to build that familiarity over time. Others like to mix it up depending on what they need that day. Either way is fine with us, our feelings don't get hurt if you see someone different.

  • Drink plenty of water and skip anything too strenuous for the rest of the day if you can. Some people feel energized afterward, others feel deeply relaxed and ready to nap, both are completely normal. Pay attention to how your body feels over the next day or two, massage often keeps working after you leave.

  • Ashiatsu is a massage technique where the therapist uses their feet, not their hands, to deliver broad, deep pressure along your back and body. Overhead bars let them control their weight precisely, which gets into layers of tissue that hands alone just can't reach. A lot of clients call it the deepest, most luxurious massage they've ever had, since the broad surface of a foot spreads pressure more evenly than an elbow or thumb ever could.

  • Ashiatsu isn't recommended if you're pregnant, have certain spinal conditions, recent surgeries, osteoporosis, kidney disease, or recent abdominal surgery. Your intake form helps your therapist figure out if it's the right fit for you.

  • A mashup of Ashiatsu's barefoot compression and Thai massage's assisted stretching and joint mobilization. It's a dynamic, full-body session that works your muscles and fascia at the same time. You stay fully clothed on the table for this one.

  • MLD is a gentle, specialized technique that encourages your lymphatic system to reduce swelling, support detox, and boost immune function. The strokes are light and rhythmic, quite different from a typical massage, and carefully sequenced to move lymph through your body. It's especially helpful for lymphedema, post-surgical swelling, chronic inflammation, or immune challenges, and plenty of people use it just for general wellness and detox support too. Recovering from surgery? Check with your surgeon before booking.

  • CST is a gentle, non-invasive technique that works with the tissue and fluid around your brain and spinal cord. The touch is extremely light, often described as about the weight of a nickel, but the effects can be significant. It's commonly used for headaches and migraines, TMJ issues, chronic neck and back pain, nervous system dysregulation, and stress. Plenty of clients feel deeply relaxed or fall asleep during a session.

  • Yes, with a trained therapist. Our pregnancy massage is specifically adapted for each stage of pregnancy, using supportive positioning and techniques built for comfort and safety. We have pregnancy bolsters that let you lie on your belly, or we can do the session side-lying, whichever feels better to you. If you're in your first trimester, please call us before scheduling. If you have any complications or have been told to limit physical activity, check with your healthcare provider first. Let us know when booking that you're pregnant so we can match you with the right therapist and prep your room. Ashiatsu, Ashi-Thai, hot stones, warm bamboo, and cupping aren't recommended during pregnancy.

  • Yes, for kids of all ages, including specialized sessions for children with autism and sensory processing differences. Every session is shaped around that child's comfort level, communication style, and sensory needs. A parent or guardian needs to stay in the room for the whole session.

  • Check out our Add-On Services page for the full list, or just ask when you book.
