How often should I use the infrared sauna?

The simple answer: there’s no one-size-fits-all! Infrared sauna therapy is safe to enjoy daily, but your ideal frequency depends on your goals, your body, and your lifestyle.

  • Beginners: Start with 2 sessions per week to allow your body to adjust to the heat and detox process.

  • Regular users: Once you’re comfortable, aim for 3–4 sessions per week for consistent benefits.

  • For general wellness: 2–3 sessions per week is a great rhythm to support relaxation, detoxification, and recovery.

Consistency is key—your body responds best when sauna sessions become a regular part of your wellness routine.

What will I find in the sauna room?

Your sauna experience at Circle of Life is designed for comfort, care, and calm. The sauna room includes:

  • Integrated red light therapy to enhance cellular rejuvenation and skin health

  • Fresh, clean towels to keep you comfortable throughout your session

  • Bluetooth speakers to enjoy your favorite music, podcast, or guided meditation

  • Cool towels infused with refreshing essential oils for your post-session cooldown

  • Chromotherapy (color therapy) lighting to match your mood and intention

  • Fresh spring water with optional electrolyte or hydration packets

Everything you need to unwind, restore, and recharge is ready when you arrive.

How should I prepare for my sauna session?

A little preparation helps you get the most out of your time in the sauna:

  • Dress comfortably. Most guests wear a swimsuit or loose, breathable clothing.

  • Hydrate well. Drink plenty of water before and after your session—hydration is key to feeling great afterward.

  • Move gently. Light activity such as walking, stretching, or yoga before your sauna can boost circulation and enhance the benefits of the heat.

  • Eat light. Have a small meal or snack 60–90 minutes before your session. Going in too full or too hungry can make it harder to relax.

Your session is a time to slow down and tune in—let your body lead the way.

Can I combine the sauna with other services?

Absolutely—and we highly recommend it. The infrared sauna pairs beautifully with float therapy, massage, or vibroacoustic therapy, creating a complete mind-body experience that amplifies the benefits of each service.

At Circle of Life, we suggest using the sauna before your other treatments, and here’s why:

  1. Prepares the skin and body: The gentle infrared heat helps open your pores, warm your muscles, and increase circulation. Entering your next session—whether it’s a float or a massage—your body is already relaxed and receptive, allowing for deeper release and more effective results.

  2. Perfect before floating: Using the sauna before your float gives you time to shower in between services, rinsing away any sweat so you step into the float tank clean and comfortable. Your skin will be warm and your muscles loosened, helping you sink more easily into the soothing stillness of the float.

  3. Enhances massage results: After your massage, we want the nourishing oils and creams to stay on your skin as long as possible so they can continue to work their magic. Doing your sauna session first means your pores are open, muscles softened, and your body is perfectly primed for your massage.

Many of our guests find that using the sauna first creates a sense of flow and continuity in their self-care routine—like a warm-up for the body and a wind-down for the mind. It’s an effortless way to deepen your relaxation and make every session more effective.

What should I expect after my sauna session?

After your sauna, you’ll likely feel calm, refreshed, and deeply relaxed—almost like your whole body has taken a long exhale. It’s normal to continue sweating lightly for a few minutes as your body cools down. Take your time; your body has just worked hard to release and restore.

We recommend sitting for a few minutes to let your heart rate and temperature return to normal before moving into your next activity or service. Drink plenty of water or an electrolyte beverage to rehydrate, and take a few deep, grounding breaths before standing up.

If you’re pairing your sauna with another service—such as a float, massage, or vibroacoustic session—your body is already primed to receive even deeper benefits. Muscles are warm, circulation is flowing, and your nervous system is in a state of calm readiness.

Some guests notice an energized feeling that lasts for hours, while others feel pleasantly mellow and ready for rest. You may also find that you sleep more soundly that night, as your body continues to process and restore balance.

Feeling tired afterward is completely normal—it’s simply your body’s way of saying it’s done meaningful work and is now shifting into recovery mode.
